The Disability Belongs™ Leadership Program: Fellowship in Operations/Accessibility, Inclusion, and Belonging (AIB)
Disability Belongs’ Operations/AIB Fellowship is designed for people who are interested in learning how to manage trainers, programming, and marketing for a budding disability training consultancy including consulting on social media outreach, strategic planning, and evaluating new and existing trainers. Additionally, Operations/AIB Fellows will work with the Finance and Administration and Board Support Teams on projects related to organizational budgets and supporting board and advisor committees and meetings. Our program is fully accessible for people with disabilities and offers full-time in-house job coaching, skills development, and networking opportunities.
Who We Want
The Operations and AIB Fellowship is ideal for people who want to gain administration, people management, and AIB training skills all while making a positive difference for people with disabilities. We are looking for creative, results-driven individuals who want to achieve breakthrough results while getting hands-on experience. The Fellowship is ideal for college juniors, seniors, and graduate students, as well as for people transitioning into the workforce for the first time or back into the workforce after a break.
Fellowship Duties
The Fellows will work closely with all members of the Operations team but will report directly to the Senior Director of Talent, Culture, and Training. The Fellows will work on tasks to advance the mission of the department including trainer management, interdepartmental communication, and organizational effectiveness.
Projects will include enhancing the trainer network, planning training events, and supporting the Board. Additionally, the Fellows will engage in work maintaining Disability Belongs™ consulting clients to assure that work can continue bringing change to how organizations approach disability inclusion and all accessibility, inclusion, and belonging projects.
Each Fellow will receive many opportunities to learn new skills, network, and gain direct experiences. In addition to hands-on work experiences, all Fellows will participate in special presentations by guest speakers. Each Fellow will develop their own career plan and will work to advance the necessary skills to begin turning that plan into a reality.
