Phillip Saldana, Senior Manager, Operations
Phillip Saldana (He/Him/They/Them) is the Senior Manager, Operations, at the disability advocacy nonprofit organization Disability Belongs™.
With close to 20 years of experience working with mission-driven organizations, Phillip has built a career rooted in service, inclusion, and community impact.
He began his nonprofit journey at the National Steinbeck Center, where he served as both Guest Services Manager and Membership Manager, helping to share the legacy of one of America’s most iconic authors. From there, Phillip went on to become Director of Operations at the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce, one of the largest and most active chambers in Central California, where he helped strengthen local businesses and support civic engagement.
Phillip’s passion lies in working with organizations that strive to make a difference—whether in education, community development, or policy advocacy. That commitment is a deeply personal one. Being born and raised in Central California, Phillip utilized different special education services throughout elementary and junior high school and was diagnosed with both Tourette’s Syndrome and Epilepsy as a teenager. His lived experiences have shaped his approach to leadership and continue to fuel his drive to create more accessible and equitable spaces for all.
Outside of work, Phillip is a proud trivia night regular. He likes to stay active through tennis, volleyball, and hiking, and he’ll never pass up the chance to discuss the latest movies, TV shows, or Broadway shows.
